The Principle Of Equality In The Egyptian Constitution Essay
The Principle Of Equality In The Egyptian Constitution - Essay Example Abdication of sway by the individuals to the administration was not, at the end of the day, to be deciphered as the individuals' having for all time surrendering their power or their having done so genuinely. In fact, the very idea of the implicit understanding underlines the sovereign privileges of the individuals, recognizes that a sovereign people have given someone in particular, the ruler, their agree to oversee over them in return for his assurance of their privileges and freedoms, in addition to other things. The implicit understanding is, in this way, the constitution which plots the lawful premise of the state as a good, political and financial foundation and the rights and obligations of the residents inside, and the state's duties and commitments towards residents. The idea of the implicit understanding, as characterized and examined by Locke and Rousseau, shed fascinating light upon the wonder of cutting edge constitutions. The constitution, as might be reasoned from these speculations, is the agreement between the legislature, the state and the ruler and the individuals. It diagrams the obligations owed by the ruler to the individuals and the rights and opportunities of the individuals inside the constraints of the law. All the more critically, similarly as with any agreement, there is a legitimate commitment to regard it. Without a doubt, as both Locke and Rousseau finished up, should the ruler disregard the particulars of the agreement, the agreement is not, at this point pertinent and the ruler's administration is ill-conceived. As needs be, we may also presume that if an administration damages the provisions of the constitution, the legislature gets ill-conceived. It is very intriguing to consider a national constitution as an agreement which the two gatherings, residents and governments, are legitimately obliged to comply with. It turns out to be considerably additionally intriguing when we think about that the infringement of the conditions of the constitution with respect to the administration/ruler, renders that ruler/government ill-conceived. This is just on the grounds that, were we to apply this as a fundamental standard, the Egyptian government will, basically, develop as an ill-conceived element; an organization which, to the extent that it neither keeps established assurances relating to the rights and opportunities of residents, and protected constraints on its power, has disregarded the Articles of the Egyptian Constitution. Through an investigation of the arrangements of the Egyptian Constitution in regards to the uniformity of residents and their equivalent right to political, monetary and common freedoms, the examination will at first set up that the constitution characterizes Egyptian residents as equivalent, and blesses them with equivalent political, financial and social liberties. Upon the investigation of the rights granted minority bunches in Egypt, for example, Copts and ladies, the exploration will set up that, to the extent that they are denied fairness, they are successfully denied what the constitution has promised them. The end to this examination will audit the ramifications of this as respects the authenticity of the legislature. 1 The Egyptian Constitution's Provisions on Equality The Egyptian Consti

Comparison Of Privacy And Communication On Social Networking - Free Essay Example
I propose to conduct a research on the topic- à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã
âA cross-cultural comparison of privacy and communication on Social Networking Sites between India and United Kingdomà ¢Ã¢â ¬?. Abstract My research will try to examine the cross cultural differences in the context of sharing personal information on à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã
âSocial Networking Sitesà ¢Ã¢â ¬? (SNSs) and the various aspects of online privacy between the college students in India and the United Kingdom. To begin with, the research will require the students to complete a paper based survey with a variety of questions regarding their attitudes towards sharing personal information on social networks and privacy. It will also seek to better understand the behavioural issues by studying their communication pattern. The emphasis of this research will remain on identifying the commonalities and differences in the communication patterns and attitudes towards privacy between the Indian and UK students by conducting an empirical research. Literature Framework We define social network sites as web-based services that allow individuals to (1) construct a public or semi-public profile within a bounded system, (2) articulate a list of other users with whom they share a connection, and (3) view and traverse their list of connections and those made by others within the system. The nature and nomenclature of these connections may vary from site to site. While we use the term social network site to describe this phenomenon, the term social networking sites also appears in public discourse, and the two terms are often used interchangeably. We chose not to employ the term networking for two reasons: emphasis and scope. Networking emphasizes relationship initiation, often between strangers. While networking is possible on these sites, it is not the primary practice on many of them, nor is it what differentiates them from other forms of computer-mediated communication (CMC). What makes social network sites unique is not that they allow individuals to meet strangers, but rather that they enable users to articulate and make visible their social networks. This can result in connections between individuals that would not otherwise be made, but that is often not the goal, and these meetings are frequently between latent ties (Haythornthwaite, 2005) who share some offline connection. On many of the large SNSs, participants are not necessarily networking or looking to meet new people; instead, they are primarily communicating with people who are already a part of their extended social network. To emphasize this articulated social network as a critical organizing feature of these sites, we label them social network sites. Social Networking Sites (SNS) have achieved phenomenal success since the launch of sixdegrees.com in 1997. Original sites such as Friendster, Lunarstorm and MiGente, are now all dwarfed by the phenomenally successful Myspace1, and Facebook2. A useful historical record of the development of Social Networking sites was made by Boyd and Ellison in 20073, although more work is needed to understand the gratifications delivered how users derive a sense of identity and the cross cultural implications to users. The goal of this short paper is to weave digitization, identity and community into an analysis that is both historically rigorous and conscious of contemporary innovations. Launch Dates of Major Social Networking Sites (SNSs) Source: Social Media Graphics Among undergraduate college students, the three most visited social networking websites are Facebook, MySpace, and Friendster, with one study reporting Facebook use as the most popular at 90% (Stutzman, 2006) while another study reports Facebook use as most popular with 78.8% who à ¢Ã¢â ¬ÃÅ"à ¢Ã¢â ¬ÃÅ"sometimesà ¢Ã¢â ¬? or à ¢Ã¢â ¬ÃÅ"à ¢Ã¢â ¬ÃÅ"oftenà ¢Ã¢â ¬? use Facebook (Hargittai, 2007). Undergraduate students using Facebook averaged 10à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â¬Å"30 min daily use for the time categories and averaged 150à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â¬Å"200 friends for the friend categories (Ellison, Steinfield, Lampe, 2006). Students and alumni use Facebook to communicate, connect and remain in contact with others (Acquisti Gross, 2006; Charnigo Barnett-Ellis, 2007; Ellison et al., 2006). There are conflicting reports whether Facebook is used for dating with one study that reports such use (Charnigo Barnett-Ellis, 2007), while another study reports that students do not use Faceboo k for that purpose (Acquisti Gross, 2006). Also, undergraduate students typically use Facebook for fun and à ¢Ã¢â ¬ÃÅ"à ¢Ã¢â ¬ÃÅ"killing timeà ¢Ã¢â ¬? rather than gathering information (Ellison et al., 2006). Although Facebook is very popular among students, others have profiles on it too. Over the past decade, the communication uses of the Internet have become a very important part of young peoples lives (e.g., Gemmill Peterson, 2006; Jones, 2002; Lenhart Madden, 2007; Subrahmanyam Greenfield, 2008). Social networking sites are the latest online communication tool that allows users to create a public or semi-public profile, create and view their own as well as other users online social networks (Boyd Ellison, 2007a), and interact with people in their networks. Sites such as MySpace and Facebook have over 100 million users between them, many of them adolescents and emerging adults. Although research on young peoples use of social networking sites is emerging (e.g., Boyd Ellison, 2007b; Ellison, Steinfield, Lampe, 2007; Valkenburg, Peter, Schouten, 2006), questions remain regarding exactly what young people do on these sites, whom they interact with on them, and how their social networking site use relates to their other online (such as instant messaging) and off line activities. Furthermore, because of the potential to interact with known others as well as meet and befriend strangers on these sites, it is important to study the nature of their online social networks in order to get an understanding of how such online communication relates to young peoples development. The goals of the present study were to explore emerging adults use of social networking sites for communication and examine the relation between their online and offline social networks. Given the vast array of information that can be shared and the number of users, concerns regarding security and privacy issues are a recurring issue (Acoca, 2008). Some concerns involve potential threats to personal safety from the abundance of information that is assumed to be available and accessible about an individual on their online profile. Specifically, there are concerns regarding identity theft if users provide too much information (e.g., birth date, address, phone, full name etc.). In addition, there are concerns for personal safety for vulnerable users who could be stalked, or otherwise threatened. A less commonly considered threat is the possibility of social risk as a function of self-identification with minority or stigmatized groups. Although some of these concerns have surfaced in the popular media (e.g., news.cnet.com), there is little empirical investigation documenting how much and what kind of information is present in personal FACEBOOKà ¢Ã¢â¬Å¾Ã ¢ profiles to determine the potential for threats of any type, nor is there any information regarding how users differ in the information disclosed in their profiles to provide clues as to who is most likely to be at risk. India is ranked fourth in the world in terms of the Internet users. It had a total population of 1,147,995,898 people by the year 2008, out of which 81,000,000 people were using the Internet which makes 7.1% of the total population of Internet users (Internet World Stats, 2009). Social networking is catching on fast. About 56 percent users do both social and professional networking on the Web, while 29 percent do only social networking (Madhavan, 2007). There are about 10 million people who are on social networking sites. What started with the popularity of Orkut in India has now become a cultural revolution. Even most of the schools going teens have an account on some social networking site (Java, 2007). Out of the total social networking users in India, only 1 mn to 2 mn (only 10% to 20%) are on Indian social networking sites. According to a recent report by comScore, Inc. (Mishra, 2009), visits to the social networking sites have increased by 51 percent from the last year. The stu dy also found that global social networking brands continued to gain prominence in India during the last year, with Orkut, Facebook, hi5, LinkedIn and MySpace each witnessing significant increases in visitation. Orkut reigned as the most visited social networking site in December 2008 with more than 12.8 million visitors, an increase of 81 percent from the previous year. Facebook, the second most popular social networking site, had 4 million visitors, up by 150 percent since last year. To make its position strong in the Indian social networking market, Facebook has launched an Indian interface which helps local users to connect with their friends in 6 different languages e Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Bengali. This move allows users to choose any of the six languages and use it as per their convenience by selecting the language tab. MySpace also promotes a lot of India specific content like promoting musical talent and even taking their talent abroad thereby upliftin g the Indian culture. It is followed by local social networking site Bharatstudent.com with 3.3 million visitors (up 88 percent) and hi5.com with 2 million visitors (up 182 percent). Other popular networking sites in India featured in the list in descending order are ibibo, MySpace, LinkedIn, BigAdda and Fropper. The population sample chosen for this research purpose will be a specific number of college going students in India and UK (to be decided at a later time). The sample will be restricted to a few hundred students from each country so as to make it easier to do a survey research. The student will be encouraged to participate and share their views on the subject of content sharing and privacy. The information provided by them will solely be used for the educational research purpose. The survey employed in this study will be based on a popular survey used previously by à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã
âPew Internet and American Life Projectà ¢Ã¢â ¬? among American teenagers. The survey used in this research may differ in some ways to adjust the variations from previous similar researches. A copy of the original survey questions is available to consult on the à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã
âPew Internet and American Life Projectà ¢Ã¢â ¬? website. The responses in the original survey were categorical, thus quantitative analysis will require performing chi-square (à â⬠¡2) test. Collection of data The primary data for this research will be collected by conducting a survey based on numerous questions that will seek to answer the questions based on information sharing and the degree of privacy maintained by students in their social profiles. The type of information sought is presented in the next section in the form of tables. However the level of information has been limited and the original research is expected to be more comprehensive in nature and may include more variables and situations. Other secondary data presented in the research will be collected from various social networking sites, social networking research services, network usage statistics, sharing and privacy reports published by various organizations. Research Methodology The purpose of this research determines its methodology. It will be a comparative study of Indian and UK college studentsà ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â ¢ attitudes and behaviour towards communication patterns and controlling privacy on Social Networking Sites (SNSs). Research Questions How do the students in India and UK differ in reference to privacy on Social Networking Sites? Online Identity - 2082 Words
Digital communities are now omnipresent in modern society. People craft and showcase their identity through the expression of their interests, opinions and principles in their profiles or interactions with their online friends when they join communities of their interest or social networking sites like Facebook. Many comment that identity production through digital communities is a vivid representation of identity production in the real world hence equipping one with the skills needed for networking in the real world. On the other hand, others criticize that identity production in the virtual world is not a true representation of social networking in the real world because of the inherent differences between the real world and the onlineâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Virtual communities such as Facebook and Myspace allow people to craft their identity. Danah Boyd observes that in virtual communities, people use deliberate forms of writing and pictures to portray their identities and amend their identities through the comments of others. However, Boyd fails to recognize that because people are limited to writings and pictures in the online world, there is a high possibility that other people may misunderstood due to the lack of physical indications like oneââ¬â¢s body language. The lack of physical indications can hinder one from crafting their identity efficiently online. Without physical indications such as body language, people have to depend a lot on how they write and picture themselves in words and pictures on blogs and Facebook. In other words, people have to infer for themselves what a persons identity is like solely based on own interpretation. If the use of tone and language is inaccurate, this may cause other parties to misinterpret. As a result, people may interpret an identity very differently from what their friend might be trying to express. This is then supported by Larry Rosen, co-author of the book TechnoStress: Coping with Technology @Work @Home @Playâ⬠, who mentions that When youre missing all those [spoken and visual] cue ... you have to read between the lines effectively, and because of this, people tend to miscomprehend. Internet Hate Groups Essay Example For Students
Internet Hate Groups Essay For the first time in human history, we have the means to connect people fromevery corner of the globe, to talk to each other and share information at a costthats far more affordable than any other means of publishing in the world. There is nothing more powerful as the Internet or the World Wide Web that hasever existed before. Hate is scary. By definition, Hate is an intensehostility and emotional aversion to someone or something. It is displayed withwords, harassment and/or acts of violence including killing. (Novick, para4). Hate can be hidden from friends or family, but at other times it is braggedabout. Hatred can be motivated by the desire for political power, for the needto put someone in their place, even by religious beliefs. The Internet seems tohave pushed all our buttons of paranoia, especially these days, when werealready confused and frightened by all the violence and chaos in our world. Preventing Internet Hate Crimes Controls and Mechanisms The first method isrebuttal, a technique long used by the anti-censorship or anti-hateorganizations. Rebuttal allows for the unrestricted dissemination of hate andnegates it by offering a more insightful and historically accurateexamination of political and social history. (Guide To Hate Groups, soundclip). This method eliminates the question of censorship and the stigma ofgovernmental control. But it does not compensate for the real human pain ofhaving swastikas, ethnocentric messages, or racial caricatures on onescomputer screen, nor does it keep children from accessing the hate sites withoutunderstanding the true context of the debates. The second method is that ofmoral , a tactic which has been successfully used by social activists andinterest groups throughout the 20th century. Moral persuasion would shift theresponsibility of eliminating cyber-hate from the government to non-governmentalorganizations, special interest group s, and social activists, avoiding theproblem of censorship and the inadequacy of the anti-hate laws.(Guide To HateGroups). Concerned individuals and organizations would consolidate and cooperatein a social movement to increase public awareness and encourage economicsanctions against the Internet service providers who offer access to hategroups. Who Do We Blame? The current problem of cyber-hate is not one oftechnology, but rather one of public policy.(Censorship) The most commonmeans for any government to deal with this problem is either to modify existinglegislation or to introduce new, more inclusive anti-hate laws. But policymakers have not acted quickly enough to modify existing legislation to dealadequately with the capabilities of the Internet. Hate groups have gained aformidable person on the Internet and cleaning up cyber-space will be difficult. Blame policy, not technology Addressing Cyber Hate Crimes Expose It While somegovernments already have laws limiting freedom of speech, and others contemplatelimiting what is allowed on the Internet, the culture of the Net has created itsown crusaders for free expression. Rather than consider censoring or banning Netsites that concern them, they have, using their own time and money, begunbuilding Web pages to expose or contradict what they find repellent. Theirphilosophy is simple, let the free marketplace of ideas decide what content isacceptable. Advocating censorship of these groups is not the answer. It will dono good to force them underground. Linking to information that contradictsracism and anti-Semitism on the Net is the goal of other anti-hates sites whichuse the communicative powers of the Web to show alternatives to thehate-mongers sites. In the free marketplace of ideas, they willeventually make the right choices. (Hate Crimes) Crack It Thecracking of Cyber Hate pages may represent an opening shot in a new way to wagethe war of information on the Net, now hackers can just deface Web pages theydont like. We may start to see opposing opinions begin to wage actual war inthe internet world. The hackers attack bodes ill for the future of freeexpression on the Internet. (Cyber Hate) Anti Cyber Hate Laws CaliforniasAssembly Bill 295 This bill would expand obscenity and child pornographystatutes to prohibit transmission of images by computer. This basically coveredall sites dealing with the illegal use of picture of minors on the Internet. Georgia Regions Study Guide 3rd GradeRacists David Duke, a former Louisiana legislator and national leader of theInvisible Empire, Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, is one example of those who areusing the Internet to spread racial hatred. On his website, he writes: Ourpeople (white people) will learn that our very survival is in jeopardy. We willfinally realize that our culture and traditions are under attack; that ourvalues and morality, our freedom and prosperity are in danger.( Creating Fear ofDifference Online). Several white supremacist groups use symbolism fromChristian scriptures to assert their racist and anti-Semitic agenda. One exampleis the Aryan Nations, which claims that fair-skinned people with northernEuropean ancestry are Gods chosen people, to the exclusion of all others. SuchInternet messages propagate fear of difference by stereotyping, exaggerating ormaking up figures, and spewing fear-filled language. They create an atmosphereof hate that feeds violence. That is ju st one example of the many Internet sitesthat is steering up hate in our society. The Aryan Nations, Christian Identity,Ku Klux Klan organizations and a number of other groups assert that white peopleshould not have to share a common culture with non-whites. Sex DiscriminationMany of these sex discrimination sites have gone under ground. These site arethe weaker of the hate sites. Many of the sites also lean on the same basis forrejecting the homosexual life. Here is an example of one of the sites:Homosexuality is immoral and is therefore illegal despite the desperateattempts by homosexuals to have homosexuality and homosexual marriages declaredlegal.(Homosexuality) My Stance I believe we do have a severe problem on ourhands. However I feel the problem is not with the internet. I would have to saythat the censorship of the internet is to be taken care of at home. Many peoplerely on television, VCRs, and toys to watch over their children. Whathappened to family values? I think peopl e have become very lazy when comes tocare for their children. Come on America, start accepting responsibility foryourself and stop blaming technology. Conclusion In conclusion, The decisions wemake today about our basic freedoms will be ones we live with for a very longtime. We need to turn on the lights in the internet world, and expose thedarkness and the lies. BibliographyAllport, G. (1948, 1983). ABCs of Scapegoating. New York: Anti-DefamationLeague. Fido Essays - Animal Welfare, Dogs, Dog Licence, Dog, Bo, Dog Park
Fido Essays - Animal Welfare, Dogs, Dog Licence, Dog, Bo, Dog Park Fido I think the selling of all those dogs' licensees is great it?s a great sign of people who have decided to take on a new member to their family. I think all the licenses sold will increase I just hope all the people that are getting dogs are doing for Love and not fighting. The license program also paid for a one time deal was people could get there dogs Fixed for free or semi free throw the sale of Dog licenses But like every thing else it fell throw. The state said they have a new law witch reconstituted this law. I think this would be great as for it will control the rising level of animals that are being left out in the weather and give people a sense of mind that if they leave there dog out side for the day that 6-8 weeks there wont be a little spares in the Dogs bed Called Puppies. The increase in sales does show more caring and responsible owners are up and coming a may be soon their wont be a need for pounds to control unwanted animals. I hope that there will be more wide spread sales as forth this is a good sign that the Dogs are being (loved) by someone, somewhere, somehow. I also think that there should be a fee that owes should pay once every two or three years called save a friend where a $20 $50 donation is required of course some people should be exempted (Older People) from this fee as forth they are scraping by as it is and This Fee is to help people like them pay for the medical bills of the Dogs. This System I believe would help there Older members get my animals an not have to worry about the paying the doctors bill as forth it?s paid for. I also think that veterinarians should be required to donate so many hours of service to practice this skill in Conn. as forth this will also help Pets and there owners. One problem with modern Dog owner is the fact that they think once they get the licensees now they think that they have to bring the Dog every time something minor goes on and there aff! irmed to pay the doctors bill. This people don?t realize that program like this not only controls the animal but helps the owner and fellow Dog owners as forth the money they pay will go into free aid for this animals and come back in some retribution to the owner. The real Dog owners don?t worry about the medical Bills the cost of Dog food ,etc. all?s worry about is how is Fido. This is my view of the Dog licenses

Exam Questions - Employee Relations Coursework Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
Exam Questions - Employee Relations - Coursework Example Collective bargaining refers to the participation of trade unions, free market sympathizers and employee representatives in determining and setting up of employeeââ¬â¢s pay. Such practices are meant to ensure that when setting up the pays, the rights of the employees are taken care of. Since 1879, the trend in the collective bargaining has been moving from the decentralized collective bargain. Unitarism is a theory of autonomy that is characterized by minimal external influence in the decision making process. In this approach, there is very little involvement of the employees in the decision making. Unitarism is autocratic in nature. Pluralism on the other hand refers to a theory where there is very high level of trade union membership and involvement of employees in decision making. In this approach, the trade unions are clearly recognized to have a very legitimate role employee matters and how the employees and employer relate. Employee Relation in the United Kingdom as well as in the entire Europe has changed over the years. This has been in terms of the health and safety issues, collectivism and participation. United Kingdom has also witnessed the emergence of the freedom of association together with equal treatment frameworks that are all meant to ensure that employee rights are maintained. The state plays a central role in ER in almost all the countries including the United Kingdom. This is in terms of the polices as well as the legislations that are put in place by the state to ensure that the ER practices in a country does not exploit or deny the parties involved their rights. The state passes legislations and policies that are related to employee exploitation, exclusion and integration. Over the years, the trade unions in the United Kingdom and in Europe as a whole have reinvented and remodeled themselves to be able to respond to the ER needs that continue to

Critical Review of Entre le chien et le loup Essay
Critical Review of Entre le chien et le loup - Essay Example The exhibitionââ¬â¢s title ââ¬Å"entre chien et loupâ⬠refers to daytime just before the onset of night when light is minimized so that visual distinction is not really possible. The title of the exhibition itself reveals much about the artistââ¬â¢s intentions that are focused on interplaying contrasts so that contrasts are developed and downplayed throughout the exhibition. Critique The most noticeable contrast in Harperââ¬â¢s work lies in the use of color ââ¬â while Harperââ¬â¢s embroidery is colored richly, his sculptures are done in a few colors only. The artistââ¬â¢s piece titled ââ¬Å"I tried, I tried, and I triedâ⬠is essentially a reproduction of ââ¬Å"Napoleon Crossing the Alpsâ⬠by Jacques Louis David where he uses rich colors to depict a historical event. In contrast, other works from Harper espouse a seemingly small range of colors that can be segregated as white, black, shades of grey and shades of blue. The contrast between the use o f colors in these pieces can be traced to the historical foundation of Harperââ¬â¢s work. The artist tends to use a rich variety of colors for the historical piece but uses seemingly few colors for pieces that represent contemporary issues including the artistââ¬â¢s personal history in pieces such as ââ¬Å"Then We are Lost Forever in the Gloamingâ⬠. This clearly represents the artistââ¬â¢s unconscious perspective on modern life being dull and composed of a few colors in contrast to his conception of the past as being richly colored. In addition, the artist tends to associate closely with historical painters such as Jacques Louis David and their works. ââ¬Å"I tried, I tried, and I triedâ⬠seems to depict a historical event even though Napoleonââ¬â¢s actual march through the Alps was not as brilliant as portrayed. (Harvey, 2006). Harper has changed the color of the horse noticeably, providing it with strong shades of black and grey. This could be considered tantamount to rewriting history from the perspective of the artist using embroidery. Harper seems to be embedded into historical events to the extent that he tries to rewrite them, in an effort to become part of such glorious history. In contrast to Harperââ¬â¢s historical works, his works associated with the contemporary realm offer interesting perspectives on contrast, making it both sharp and gradual. Harperââ¬â¢s piece titled ââ¬Å"To Remind, or to Warnâ⬠is the most glaring example on stark contrast presented by the artist. The piece is deceitfully simple and presents two wolves, one purely white and the other purely black, placed on cubical foundations. Interestingly, the foundations for the pieces are constructed of three bricks composed along the length and the breadth that provide for pure equality in both foundations. Built on top of these equal foundations are a white wolf, that is perched higher than the black wolf, on pieces of rock. While the white wolf glares down with a neutral design, the black wolf is shown howling up in the air with signs of aggression. The foundations it seems represent manââ¬â¢s birth ââ¬â everyone is born equally, neither good nor bad. The wolves on top seem to represent good and evil. Traditional association dictates that the white wolf stands for good and so is perched higher and in a neutral posture. In contrast, the black wolf represents evil and is perched

The effects of observational learning on children Does allowing children to watch violent television and what they see on a daily basis in their lives from peers and adults effect their actions, and thoughts? The answer is simply yes! When it comes down to the facts, childrenââ¬â¢s behaviors are greatly influenced from what they see going on around them. Children can be taught to be violent or they can be taught to be kind, they can be taught to be confident, or they can be stripped of their self-confidence, they can be taught to be great or they can be taught to fail in life all from observing how adults and peers in their life act. Children start out in life observing everything that everyone and everything around them are doing. They learn to walk, talk, and feed themselves from observing what their parents, siblings, and other people around them do. They learn these things from observing and then imitating them. ââ¬Å"It has been found that infants as early 6 weeks old imitate facial expressions and infants 6 and 9 months of age have shown to exhibit deferred imitation of actions demonstrated with objectsâ⬠(Jones, Hebert. 197). ââ¬Å"Recently researchers at the University of Washington and Temple University have found the first evidence revealing a key aspect of the brain processing that occurs in babies to allow this learning by observationâ⬠(ââ¬Å"Baby Brains Learn Through Imitationâ⬠). In their study they found that when a baby observed an adult touch a toy with their hand the same part of the brain that controls the same hand on the child would light up. The same was true if they obs erved an adult touch the toy with their foot, the foot part of the childââ¬â¢s brain would light up. These results showed that when babies observed someone els... ...Jones and Hebert found that infants as early as 6 weeks old imitate facial expressions and infants 6 to 9 months of age have shown to exhibit deferred imitation of actions demonstrated with objects. Greer, Dudek-Singer and Gautreaux found that even weeks after their study was completed that the childrenââ¬â¢s behavior was still able to be reinforced with the plastic discs that were used in their experiment. The exposure to chronic alcoholism by parents effect children well into adulthood and in almost every area of their lives from health to relationships and Huesmann, L. R., Moise-Titus, J., Podolski, C., & Eron, L. D. found that exposure to early childhood violence on television effects children well into adulthood. These studies are proof that what children observe growing up does effect what they learn and can have horrible effects on who they are when they grow up.

Ceceros on moral duty Essay
Man is endowed with reason where unlike animals, he is able to understand how things come about, and be able to interpret how causes relate to the effects. From there, the man will be able to draw conclusion and relate the current and the future appropriately. In most cases man will try to look for a truth and the necessary changes in life to adapt with the situation. It is no doubt that man has a feeling for order, politeness and moderation in life. It is because of this that moral goodness is worth all respect and by all means, we appropriately maintain it. The moral right emanate from the four sources. These sources include; Its concern with the full development of the true intelligent, its concern about the conservation of the organized society, its greatness ant power of a dignified and unbeatable spirit, or its concern with the orderliness and the moderation of all that is said and done. Clearly, one is able to observe the real truth in any given sources, and when he can detect and explain the reasons behind it then he will be able to wisely understand it The other virtues, is set to provide and maintain such things where the practical business of life relied on such that there will be conservation of the relation between man to man in the society. In that case the dignity of man will be improved to help them increase their superiority to these things. However, the orderly behavior and the self control have their sphere in the section of things where a certain amount of physical effort is required. For example, if we develop a certain amount of propriety and order to the daily activities the moral rectitude and the moral dignity will be conserved. The interest of the society should be best conserved, and kindness be shown to every person in relation to the proximity of his relationship. However, it is important to trace back into their eventual sources that nature has established among men. The first principle is found in the connection between members of the human race, and the bond of connection is reason and speech which through the process educating reasoning associate men and unite them together.

In this essay, I will argue the ways in which point of view is significant in the interpretation of any two texts studied on the course. The two texts that I will be examining are Great Expectations and Little Red Riding Cap. Firstly, I will present to you the meaning and definition of Formalization. From there I will introduce the tale of Great Expectations, giving a detailed summary of the book and its themes. Then I will show the different examples of formalization within the tale and how this literary technique aids the reader in understanding the narrative. One day as he looks upon his parentââ¬â¢s tomes, he encounters an escaped convict who demands Pip to fetch him food and something to take his iron chains off with. Pip obliges, however in spite of this the convict is duly captured, but, to spare Pip, the convict explains that it was him who stole the food. One day Pip is taken to play at a large house, the house belongs to the character Miss Havisham who is portrayed as an extremely eccentric person. It is during these visits that the young Pip meets Miss Havishamââ¬â¢s daughter Estella, who never displays any form of affection for Pip and treats him contemptuously. Nevertheless, Pip falls in love and it his dream to become a gentleman and marry Estella. Pips life however is not turning out as he wants and he becomes an apprentice to his brother in-law Joe, until one fateful day, a lawyer named Jaggerââ¬â¢s informs him that a secret benefactor has left Pip with a large fortune. Essay Report on The Role of the Foreign Service in Promoting Womens Rights in Afghanistan
Essay Report on The Role of the Foreign Service in Promoting Womens Rights in Afghanistan In the essay Empowering Women: Rebuilding Society: The Role of the Foreign Service in Promoting Womens Rights in Afghanistan, Eva Lam denotes what the US Foreign Service does in order to make sure that Afghan women are no longer oppressed because of their gender. Despite concerns of imperialism and unwanted interference in the religious culture of another, the initiatives that are being exercised by the Foreign Office do indeed promote womens rights in Afghanistan, and are ultimately the best thing to do. The programs of the Foreign Office are comprehensive, helpful and pervasive in helping women exert power they were heretofore refused because of the culture in which they lived. By pointing out the gender inequality of Afghan culture, the various economic and cultural detriments are made clear, and steps have been taken to increase education for women, as well as granting them more political power and representation. This way, womens rights can be advocated for by the people who live there, and not just foreign dignitaries and military forces. There are concerns that there are Muslim women who agree with their place in traditional Muslim culture, and for whom these changes may be intrusive in their own right. Some can argue about the fact that this is a foreign country, with their own sets of rules and norms, and it can seem arrogant and presumptuous to impose one societys beliefs over anothers. With this sort of invasion of policy comes the threatened Americanization of the world, where we change everything to suit our own values. The basic human rights issues that took place in Afghanistan under Taliban rule underline the need for foreign intervention, if only for the physical and emotional welfare issues regarding the oppressed Afghan women. Despite the concerns of imperialism, the fact that noncompliant Muslim women are given such terrible fates as death, mutilation and rape, it is the obligation of those who can take action to do so. In the case of the US Foreign Office, they are offering Muslim women the freedom to take action and free themselves from objectively oppressive rule and subjugation. In conclusion, Lams thesis that the Foreign Office helps Afghan women by providing them with the skills and education to make a life for themselves independently is correct. Arming women with the basic know-how to make it in their own country leaves them less in danger of being harmed in a physical way, and can free those who choose from the oppression of Taliban and traditional Muslim rule. However, it must be made clear that Muslim women who do choose to take a more traditional path are allowed to do so. To force them to do otherwise would be a gross invasion of their culture, and a means of merely spreading Western ideals to foreign countries. As it stands, the situation is to merely give those who would like an option to rise above their submissive station the chance to do so.

Preventing Risky Alcohol Use And Treating Problematic Use
Alcohol Use and Youth: Preventing Risky Alcohol Use and Treating Problematic Use Monica Monroy PH 456 June 6, 2015 Alcohol in the United States is a widely used and a socially acceptable substance for adults of legal drinking age. According to SAMHSAââ¬â¢s National Survey on Drug Use, more than half of Americans ages 12 and older have used alcohol within the past month. The focus of this paper is on the portion of Americans who are not allowed to legally purchase or consume alcohol, but still count as alcohol users. This portion of Americans is referred to as youth. Their age range is defined by SAMHSA as being between the ages 12-20. This age range is also known as ââ¬Å"underageâ⬠or under the age in which one can consume or purchase alcohol legally. We will examine how use of alcohol within these ages can potentially increase the risk of developing alcohol use disorders and other adverse health effects and behaviors which can carry into adulthood while also acknowledging prevention methods and treatment for alcohol use in youth. Since a standard of alcohol use for youth does not exist, we will use standards developed for adults of legal drinking age. The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism categorizes a standard drink as any drink containing 14 grams of pure alcohol (NIAAA, 2013). A standard drink can be quantified as: 12 ounces of beer, 8 ounces of malt liquor, 5 ounces of table wine, and 1.5 ounces of hard liquor (NIAAA, 2013). What are the different firms involved in the supply chain? c. What are the objectives of these firms? d. Provide examples of conflicting objectives in this supply chain. e. What are the risks that rare or unexpected events pose to this supply chain? a. b. c. d. e. Pick any car model manufactured by a domestic auto maker. For example, consider the 2002 Ford Thunderbird. a. The supply chain for a car typically includes the following components:: 1. Suppliers for raw materials 2. Suppliers for parts and subsystems 3. Automobile manufacturer (Ford, in the example). Within a company, there are also different departments, which constitute the internal supply chain: i. Purchasing and material handling ii. Manufacturing iii. Marketing, etc. 4. Transportation providers 5. Automobile dealers b. Many firms are involved in the supply chain. 1. Raw material suppliers. For instance, suppliers for steel, rubber, plastics, etc. 2. Parts suppliers. For instance, suppliers for engines, steering wheels, seats, and electronic components, etc. 3. Automobile manufacturer. For instance, Ford. 4. Transportation providers. For instance, shippers, trucking companies, railroads, etc. 5. Automobile dealers. For instance, Hayward Ford. c. All companies involved in the supply chain want to maximize their respective profits by increasing revenue and decreasing cost. However, companies may employ different strategies in order to achieve this goal. Some of them focus on customer satisfaction and quick delivery, while others may be more concerned about minimizing inventory holding costs. d. In general, different parts of the supply chain have objectives that are not aligned with each other. 1. Purchasing: Stable order quantities, flexible delivery lead times and little variation in mix. 2. Manufacturing: Long production runs, high quality, high productivity and low production costs. 3. Warehousing: Low inventory, reduced transportation costs and quick replenishment capability. 4. Customers: Short order lead times, a large variety of products and low prices. e. Typically, the automobile dealer would like to offer a variety of car colors and configurations to accommodate different customer preferences, and meanwhile have a short delivery lead time from the manufacturer. However, in order to maximize the length of production runs, and utilize resources more efficiently, the manufacturer would like to aggregate orders from different dealers and offer less variety in car configurations. This is a clear example of conflicting marketing and manufacturing goals. ââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬â 2. Consider a consumer mortgage offered by a bank. a. What are the components of the supply chain for the mortgage? . Is there more than one firm involved in the supply chain? What are the objectives of the firm or firms? c. What are the similarities between product and service supply chains? What are the differences? a. b. c. a. The supply chain for a consumer mortgage offered by a bank may involve various components. 1. Marketing companies that handle solicitation to potential customers. 2. Credit reporting agencies that evaluate potential customers. 3. The bank that extends the mortgage loans. 4. Mortgage brokers through which the loans are distributed. . The marketing companies strive to increase the response rate from homebuyers in order to maximize their returns. Banks aim at a customer portfolio with a relatively low risk, healthy flow of payments and low average loan maturity date. The brokers would like to maximize their sales commissions. c. Similar to product supply chains, the objective of a service supply chain is to provide what is needed (in this case, a particular type of service, rather than a physical product) at the right location, at the right time, and in a form that conforms to customer requirements while minimizing system wide costs. However, there are a number of differences between the two types of supply chains. For instance: 1. In a product supply chain, there is both a flow of information and physical products. In a service supply chain, it is primarily information. 2. Contrary to a service supply chain, transportation and inventory are major cost components in a product supply chain. 3. Services typically cannot be held in inventory, so matching capacity with demand is frequently more important in a service supply chain. 4. In a service supply chain, the (explicit) cost of information is higher than in a product supply chain. Note that in the mortgage example above, the bank has to compensate the credit reporting agency for each credit report it obtains. ââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬â- 3. What is an example of a supply chain that has evolved over time? Many supply chains evolve over time. For example, consider a memory chip supply chain. Production strategies may change during different stages of the product life cycle. When a new memory chip is introduced, price is high, yield is low, and production capacity is tight, and the availability of the product is important. Consequently, production is usually done at plants close to markets, and the management focuses on increasing yield, reducing the number of production disruptions, and fully utilizing capacity. When the product matures, however, its price drops and demand is stabilized for a period of time, so minimizing production cost moves to center stage. To reduce costs, production may be outsourced to overseas foundries, where labor and materials are much cheaper. How to cite Logistic, Papers

The motilities approach to tourism regions - MyAssignmenthelp.com
Question: Discuss aboutThe motilities approach to tourism regions. Answer: Introduction: Commonwealth games are the biggest sporting spectacular and largest sporting event in Australia that will be held at Gold coast. It is an international event and it will be hosted by Australia on wider platform ever. There will be more than 65000 official participates and athletes and is expected to attract more than 100000 international and domestic visitors every day. However, it is well known facts that everything has its pros and cons. Hosting of such great sporting event will undoubtedly help in raising economic condition of country (Business.qld.gov.au 2018). Nonetheless, some issues are associated with Commonwealth games to be held in 2018. Attraction of huge tourists volume will have considerable impact on daily lives of people as there will be heavy traffic and there will be problematic car parking and transportation. Moreover, Queensland will experience pollution and will be over crowded. Pollution is enhanced due to tourists using plastics and helium balloons at the sporti ng event. It is considered as in issue because Gold coast is more close to ocean and it will be having more canals. It is quite possible of getting those canals polluted because of using helium balloons and using plastics.Queensland being a water-based city has a high chance of getting its marine life polluted due to using plastics. Furthermore, Gold coast is already having some disruption erupting from construction of light rail leading to occasional local grizzle and some traffic drama. When tourists go back to their home country, city will have to spend on setting up infrastructure and it will not be priceless. Issues relating to environment such as pollution, traffic drama, transportation, car-parking issue due to overcrowd are likely to evolve in 2018 Common wealth games (McKercher and Tung 2015). In nutshell, it can be said that environmental sustainability is one of the main issues concerning Common wealth games 2018 in Queensland. Significance of chosen issue for future development and growth of Tourism and Hospitality industries: The main issues that are likely to evolve from the Common wealth games 2018 in Queensland is related to sustainability of environment. It has been ascertained from some research that natural environments and excellent beauty of Australia are core strength of offerings from global tourism. One of the stronger potential draw card for international and domestic visitors in Australia are the unique natural assets of Gold coast in the world where there is disappearance of ecological habits (Edb.gov.hk 2018). Therefore, protecting natural assets of Gold coast where Common wealth games will be held is of utmost importance for Australia. For the tourism operators, sustainable tourism has become the buzz word as it lead to incorporation of balance between various dimensions of tourism development such as environmental and socio cultural. Sustainability goes beyond maintaining natural environment as it takes into consideration the economic and social impact of sporting events and associated games. Environmental integrity of regarded as one of the pillars of sustainable tourisms. Some of the key elements of sustainable tourism development are maintaining essential ecological processes, optimally utilizing resources of environment and requirement of conserving biodiversity and natural heritage (Cohen and Cohen 2015). Maintaining environmental sustainability helps city and country as a whole in generating economic growth. Sustainable development is envisaged as resource management in a way that helps in fulfilling social, economic and aesthetic needs along with maintaining essential ecological process, cultural integrity, life support system and biological diversity. Tourist visiting Australia finds the costal lifestyle most appealing followed by rainforest and wildlife and thereby maintenance of such environmental facet s is relevant. Future development of hospitality and tourism industry in Australia depends largely on management of environmental resources and maintaining environmental sustainability (Gc2018.com 2018). Conclusion and Proposing recommendations for solving the issue: Environmental sustainability is one of the major issues concerning Common wealth games 2018, Queensland that should be addressed for promoting growth and development of hospitality and tourism industry. City is becoming increasingly acquainted of enforcing and adopting some effective measures for protecting environment in the light of growing degradation of environment either directly or indirectly from hosting such large sporting event. Visit of such large volume of tourist leads to imposition of veritable challenge in terms of building sustainable environment (Environment.transportation.org 2018). It is required that such sustainability issues arising from sporting event hosting at Gold coast to be addressed at all levels such as industry, academia, in cooperation with policy makers, stakeholders and general public. Some of the recommendations for resolving the issues related to Common wealth games are as follows: Transport management- Transportation is regarded as critical factor for the success of Common wealth games, 2018. There needs to be careful investment and planning when proposing strategic transport plan during the hosting of such events. In order to host a great common wealth, 2018, it is essential that transport partners are working closely with local business and residents (McKercher and Tung 2015). City should employ a sustainable transportation system that operates efficiently and are affordable. Such transportation system should have the capacity of limiting waste and emissions so that they can be absorbed by planet, minimize the production of noise and land usage. It should emphasize on consumption of non-renewable resource for yielding sustainability. Moreover, invest should be made in waterways infrastructure Minimizing impact on environment resources- Government and policy makers of sporting events should take appropriate steps that minimize the impact of hosting of such events on ecosystem stability and supporting biodiversity. Measures featuring adjusted usage of land, public services, supporting livability and enhancement of public health, safety and security of local people, tourist and residents of Gold coast. Some of the measures that can be taken for minimizing impact on environment resources are tree selection, diverse plantation, wildlife crossings, porous pavement, infiltration basins for storm water, using of renewable fuels, reclamation of demolitation materials and minimizing the footprint of infrastructure building and venue creation for such events (Fairley et al. 2016). Tacking pollution- Pollution is one of the uncontrollable aspects of Common wealth games, 2018 and addressing of pollution should form a part of legacy policy of Gold coast. Athletes, tourists from different countries and other people should be provided adequate knowledge of environmental activities that helps in making environment pollution less. There should be increased recognition of the factors such as pollution that have damaging impacts on nature. Current tourism policies should incorporate a clear preventive approach and strategies for addressing pollution. Reduced use of plastics and helium balloons should be encouraged among tourists by acquainting them with adverse impact of pollution on well being of human and welfare of society as a whole (McKercher and Tung 2015). Tourists should be encouraged to embrace public, active transport and embracing diversity. Moreover, people should be encouraged to make efficient use of water so that they are able to tackle watercourse pollu tion and local flooding. They should be encouraged to embrace healthy products that are made from waste and renewable resources. Measures should be taken to choose local, seasonal and organic diets and thereby reducing wastage of foods. There should be the installation of renewable technologies for delivering energy (Reddy and Wilkes 2015). All this will help in bringing positive impact on tourism and hospitality industry.
